This two-day workshop will introduce participants to two alternative photographic printing processes: cyantoype and Vandyck brown. These two processes are ideal for students who wish to learn how to print photographs onto hand-coated paper using historical photographic processes. On the first day, students will learn the basics of hand coating watercolour paper with cyanotype chemistry, and on the second day, will move on to the slightly more challenging but rewarding Vandyck brown process.
What to bring
All materials will be provided. You will need to email your tutor a selection of high resolution digital images in advance of the workshop, and you can also bring additional images on a memory stick.
